Silver stainless steel

However, if your jewelry is made of gemstones, we suggest that you do not expose it to water or put cream on your skin, as this can alter the color and brilliance of the stones.

Gold-, rose- or black-plated stainless steel

Stainless steel jewelry with gold, rose gold or black plating requires extra care, to preserve its original beauty. Here's our advice:

Avoid contact with water and detergents, which can cause rapid deterioration of the veneer.
Avoid exposure to extreme heat and humidity. Never store your jewelry in the bathroom!
Avoid using perfume, hairspray, cream, etc., when wearing your plated stainless steel jewelry. Perfume yourself before putting them on.
Store your jewelry in a bag or jewelry box.

In short, all plated jewelry that isn't made of real gold is subject to losing its color plating. However, if you follow our advice, you'll avoid deterioration and your jewelry will stay beautiful for a long time!

Unfortunately, some factors, such as skin pH (natural acidity level), are uncontrollable. If you have a high natural acidity level, the process of color change may be accelerated. If this is your case, we suggest you choose silver-colored stainless steel, without any plating.
